Background: After several weeks of heated debate between the National Congress Party (NCP) and the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM), the formation of the Government of National Unity (GONU) in Sudan on 20 September 2005, has revealed four important lessons which the SPLM leadership must carefully study and rake some actions on.
